Why we exist

Born from a lifelong dream of care

Divya Vriddhashram began as a shared dream between its founders: a place where elders are truly honoured, celebrated and cared for.

They spent their whole lives giving to family and to society. They have earned a chapter of their own, and ageing should never mean giving up independence.

So we built a warm, welcoming home where seniors are treated like family, and where their physical, emotional and social wellbeing is looked after every day.

Our elders have earned the right to live this next chapter entirely for themselves.

Support us

Every free bed here is paid for by someone

Elders who arrive with nothing are never turned away. That is only possible because others give. We accept offerings to serve the poor and needy elders, and a donation covers meals, medicines and nursing for an elder who has no one.

Give your time

Volunteering is encouraged and warmly welcomed

Money is not the only way to help, and often it is not the one the residents remember. Come as you are, for an hour or for a day.

01 Sponsor a day’s meal

Cover the cooking for one day, for everyone. Birthdays and anniversaries are a favourite occasion for this.

02 Offer an hour of medical help

Doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and counsellors are always needed, even for a single visit a month.

03 Run a session

Yoga, music, storytelling, a language class, help with phones. Anything you can teach, someone here wants to learn.

04 Simply spend time

Sit and talk. Play a game. Read aloud. For an elder with no family visiting, this is the whole thing.

Call and offer your time Call us and we will find a way to use whatever you can give.
